It was during the year 1969 when Misses Mabel Mary Mazzini and Juana Gradín decided to form a hockey team for Old St. Catherine's girls. In this way, "St. Catherine´s Club" came into existence with its great debut in 1st Division C, playing as locals in Club Mitre's field, as our ?campito? did not exist yet.
In 1971, Mrs. Mazzini together with Dora Jack and C. De Donelly went to see a plot in Tortuguitas. The place was not superb but only imagining that it could be ours; that we could have our own hockey field plus the possibility of future events there seemed a dream? And this dream finally came true thanks to all those who have helped to make of our "campito" what it is today.
Some years later, in 1980, ex-players in order were called in to form our own team and a new coach was chosen for this new period: Gustavo Paolucci. Thanks to him and to all his effort St. Catherine?s Club had an extraordinary performance, unique in the whole history of Argentine Hockey.
Only three years later, in 1983, our team ascended to 1st Division C, the following year to 1st Division B and unexpectedly a year later, already 1985, it was part already of 1st Division A.
In the year 1992, our club finally achieved its legal status as "St. Catherine's Moorlands Club Civil Association" becoming a member of the Argentine Amateur Hockey Association
More achievements were to come and in 1994 St. Catherine's Moorlands' Club had the first synthetic field in Argentina.
It was in the year 2003 that the first School-Club, ours, (SCMC) presented two complete teams for the championship at the Argentine Hockey Confederation (CAH). Team A ended runner-up in the tournament "Copa de Honor" and also Argentine Champion of Clubs from its category.
