Since 1976 we have been offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) along with the official Argentinian curriculum.
Students study six subjects over the course of two years and meet three additional requirements described as core components. In order to obtain the diploma, students must get at least 24 points out of 45. All the subject components are either marked or moderated by external examiners from the IBO.
The subjects offered by the school are the following:
Studies in Language and Literature
Individuals and Societies
• Theory of Knowledge: through this course, students explore the nature of knowledge
• Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS): Students perform a wide variety of extracurricular, sports and community service activities to comply with the CAS requirement of CAS.
• The Extended Essay: students complete a research project of up to 4000 words.
The DP is recognized nationally and internationally for its high standards of college preparatory education. Around 2,000 universities and higher education institutions in the world have recognition policies regarding their admission criteria, validations, academic credits and scholarships. Twenty of these institutions are in Argentina.
Middle Years Programme
We offer the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) to students aged 11 to 16.
This programme provides a learning framework that encourages students to become critical, creative and reflective thinkers. As to the curriculum, it organizes learning through eight subject groups:
The MYP emphasizes the intellectual challenge and encourages students to make connections between the subjects they study and the real world, which allows them to work within an imaginative, stimulating and interdisciplinary curriculum. It also encourages the development of communication skills, intercultural understanding and global commitment. This enables the connection with the subsequent academic stage, the "International Baccalaureate Diploma".
